The experience we had a Villa Apoi was nothing short of perfection. The Villa itself is stunning. The amenities are 6 star, and the views, well, postcard perfect is the only way to describe them. From the very beginning, Gemma and John were amazing. Their welcome was warm, and the walk about through the Villa was thorough and complete in every way. They were always available if we had any questions. Like the security blanket we never needed to use. Just to know that they were but a phone call away made all the difference. The Villa was spotless upon arrival and maintained at the same impeccable level throughout our stay.Every aspect of the Villa was spot on. Beds were super comfortable, kitchen was exceptionally well designed and all 4 bathrooms were magnificent. It is very clear that our Villa was constructed without cutting any corners. The finishing was first class.Then, it only got better!!!! We engaged the services of your chef for our breakfasts. Each morning we awoke to the smells of out-of-this-world Cretian cuisine. We had the honour of being treated like royalty by Stella. This lady is not only a great chef, but a warm and caring human being with a heart of pure gold. As amazing as Villa Apoi was, Stella made everything ten-fold better. My entire family considers her to be a friend and we will definitely stay in touch.One of our most memorable dinners was at Emerald, the restaurant in Plaka, owned and operated by Stella and her Husband, Master Chef Christos. Between Stella's knowledge as a Sommelier, along with the absolute brilliance of Christos we had a meal that would garner 3 Michelin stars for quality and creativity. Be careful, you may loose them to Paris, New York or London. The team of Stella and Christos are pure genius. We have been fortunate to travel and experience many amazing restaurants but Emerald stands out amongst the best. We truly miss them very much.Crete, it's people,it's rich history, amazing beaches, Villa Apoi, Gemma, John, Stella and Christos made this our most wonderful family vacation ever. We would most definitely consider a return visit.
