My family and I spent a very enjoyable week in Crete, and we loved our stay in villa Isabelle. The climb to the villa is a bit rough, but worth it. The view is fantastic, and the grounds are very well maintained and beautiful. So is the swimming pool. Nothing better than watching the sunset (with a glass of wine, of course) while sitting around the pool. I also recommend using the barbecue (fish was our favorite). On the inside - the kitchen is well stocked and the living room very pleasant. As for the rooms - the most beautiful and spacious is the one on the first floor, with a terrace and Jacuzzi. The two rooms on the ground floor are nice. The three rooms on the lower level are less attractive. Although they have windows, it is almost a cellar. However, with all the attractions around, the rooms are used just for sleep, and they all have private bathroom which is very convenient.  Sissi, which is very close, is beautiful, and we had a great lunch at Paradosiako restaurant at the port. There is also a very good bakery on the street leading to the port. Don’t miss Spinalonga. From Plaka it is a very short boat trip. Another restaurant I would like to recommend is Ergospacio in Elounda, actually sitting on the water. All in all, a very good address in beautiful Crete. Ruth J.
