We are frequent travelers to Greece and were looking for the right balance of relaxation and activity in an idyllic setting. Audrey and her team delivered so much more! Villa Tamara was perfection. It is a newly constructed, stunning, roomy villa. All of the spaces are tastefully decorated and everything from the comfortable beds to the ample dining and lounging setup easily accommodated our family of seven adults, as did the spacious pool. While the villa has neighbors, and is a short walk into town, it feels private and secluded. Crete is a diverse island with landscapes and activities for all. For those seeking solitude, Sisi and Villa Tamara would cover all bases. Stunning views, overlooking the ocean, nearby beaches and scrumptious meals at the local tavernas. At the recommendation of Audrey we took in a number of fun adventures. We visited nearby Spinalonga, drove to the neighboring village of Malia for unparalleled local cuisine and took a sunset tour. We were even fortunate enough to watch dolphins frolic around the sailboat at sunset! We took an unforgettable safari to explore the birthplace of Zeus, feed goats, sample local cuisine (and, of course, raki) and learn about Cretan cheese production from a goat and sheep family. The week we spent at Villa Tamara was undoubtedly the best vacation we have had in the 30 years we have been visiting Greece as a family. From the service we received upon our arrival at the airport, to the carefully curated lists of restaurants and activities, the experience provided by Villas on Crete was seamless. We look forward to booking with them again next year!
